Ukrainian economy constantly growing – Kubiv

Ukrainian economy has been growing for the longest continuous period of nine years.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv stated this at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Chernivtsi region on Saturday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"They [Russian authorities] hate only one person who is the commander-in-chief and who opposes their policy – Petro Poroshenko ... For five years Ukraine has resisted Russia at the price of super efforts," Kubiv noted.

He recalled that more than 13 thousand soldiers and civilians had been killed, over 26 thousand people had been injured over the period of Russian aggression against Ukraine. Some 1.7 million Ukrainians became internally displaced persons.

“This is a challenge faced by the president, the government and the Ukrainian parliament today. They show unity and invincibility. In unity, we demonstrated a new victory, including our economy. The Ukrainian economy has been growing for the longest continuous period of nine years. The fourth quarter - 3.5%. Remember that we were told that this would never happen," Kubiv added.
