National commission approves Ukrenergo’s investment program for 2019

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) of Ukraine has endorsed the resolution on approving the investment program of the state-owned enterprise NPC Ukrenergo for 2019 in the amount of UAH 3.303 billion, which is twice less than suggested by the enterprise.

The relevant decision was approved at the NEURC meeting on March 19, 2019, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

During the meeting, Ukrenergo submitted its investment program worth UAH 6.152 billion. However, after the consideration of the program and open discussion of the NEURC draft resolution, the investment program of Ukrenergo for 2019 was approved in the amount of UAH 3.303 billion.

In particular, sources to finance the investment program include depreciation deductions in the amount of UAH 687,037, return on capital investments in the amount of UAH 558,673, loans in the amount of UAH 1,942.191, revenues from the distribution of interconnecting power grids in the amount of UAH 59,983.

It is noted that unused funds in 2018 amounted to UAH 15,530.

The investment program is one of Ukrenergo’s most important documents. Its purpose is to substantiate planned expenditures allocated for capital investments in construction, reconstruction and modernization of energy facilities, purchase of tangible and intangible assets, and/or repayment of loans, payments under financial lease agreements and settlement of other liabilities.
