State Executive Service recovers UAH 95 mln in wage arrears from debtors

The State Executive Service has recovered UAH 95 million in wage arrears from debtors since the beginning of 2019, Deputy Justice Minister for Executive Service Svitlana Hlushchenko has said.

“In April 2018, we launched the campaign for collecting wage arrears and received impressive results. More than UAH 460 million were collected from unscrupulous employers in 2018, and UAH 95 million were recovered in the first two months of 2019. This is UAH 30 million more than for the same period last year,” Hlushchenko said, the Justice Ministry’s press service reports.

She also added that debts had been fully paid to 13,273 employees.

The largest amount of wage arrears was recovered from PJSC Zaporizzhyaoblenergo (UAH 9.8 million in 2019 and UAH 4.5 million in 2018), PrJSC Severodonetsk Azot Association (UAH 2.7 million in 2019 and UAH 19.5 million in 2018), PJSC Rivneazot (UAH 5.7 million in 2019 and UAH 29.7 million in 2018).

Hlushchenko also noted that at present the top three debtors include: PJSC Football Club Metalist, with wage arrears totaling UAH 117 million; the Kharkiv State Aircraft Production Enterprise, with wage arrears totaling UAH 74.6 million; PrJSC Azovzagalmash, with wage arrears totaling UAH 25.3 million.
