Poroshenko: 42.6 percent of Ukrainian exports going to EU

Currently, the share of the European Union in the structure of Ukrainian exports is 42.6 percent, while the share of the Russian Federation is only 7.7 percent.

"At present, the share of the European Union in the structure of Ukrainian exports is 42.6 percent, while the share of the Russian Federation is only 7.7 percent. In 2018, we sold more goods to the European Union than any other year in the history of our bilateral relations. Our trade has grown by 55 percent over past three years," President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at the 15th Dragon Capital's Annual Ukraine Investor Conference in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, Ukraine lost 16% of its GDP in 2014-2015 due to Russia's aggression and economic blockade. The governments led by Arseniy Yatsenyuk and subsequently Volodymyr Groysman had to make unpopular decisions, which eventually have yielded positive results.
