Deposit Guarantee Fund gets UAH 8.8 bln from managing insolvent banks’ assets in 2018

The Deposit Guarantee Fund in 2018 received UAH 8,780.4 million from the management of assets of banks being under liquidation, the fund's press service reports.

“In 2018, UAH 8,780.4 million was transferred to the accounts of banks being under liquidation, of which the largest sum totaling UAH 6,765.2 million was received from the sale of assets of banks being under liquidation. In December 2018, the total amount of revenues amounted to UAH 722.2 million, of which UAH 611.9 million was received from the sale of assets,” reads the report.

The largest revenues were received from the sale of assets of the following banks: JSC Delta Bank - UAH 1,714.2 million, PJSC Bank Finance and Credit - UAH 722.4 million, PJSC CB Nadra - UAH 658.1 million, PJSC Bank Forum - UAH 554.4 million, PJSC VAB Bank - UAH 406.4 million.

Out of the total amount of revenues from banks being under liquidation in 2018, UAH 1,447.4 million was received from repayment of loans, UAH 464.5 million from redemption of securities, and UAH 103.3 million from rent.

The funds received from the sale and management of insolvent banks’ assets are directed to repay bank creditors’ claims.
