Qatari investment company interested in Ukrainian renewable energy projects

Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Yevhen Mykytenko handed some renewable energy projects over to the leading Qatari state investment and energy company Nebras Power.

The press service of Ukraine’s Embassy in the State of Qatar reported this following a meeting of Mykytenko and embassy’s diplomats with CEO of the company Mr. Khalid M. Jolo and Chief Business Development Officer Mr. Faisal O. Al-Siddiqi.

“During the meeting, the state and prospects of the Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation in the energy sector was discussed. The top-management of Nebras Power was provided with the information on the investment climate in Ukraine in renewables development, a number of investment projects were handed over for further consideration,” reads the report.

The parties agreed on certain steps to promote cooperation between Ukrainian and Qatari investment and energy companies.

Nebras Power is a global power development and investment company which was established in 2014 as a joint venture of two Government Related Entities: Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC), (60%) and Qatar Holding (40%).
