Gas reserves in Ukraine fell to 12.5 bn cu m

In the last week, Ukraine reduced gas reserves in underground storage facilities by 628 million cubic meters to 12.5 billion cubic meters, the press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has reported.

As of January 16, 2019, there were 12.5 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukraine’s underground storage facilities. Thus, Ukraine consumed 4.7 billion cubic meters of gas since the start of the current heating period.

As reported, Ukraine started the 2018/2019 heating season with the reserve of 17.2 billion cubic meters of gas. Consumers receive gas from Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.
