Passenger traffic at Ukrainian airports grew by 25% last year

The passenger traffic at the Ukrainian airports last year grew by 25% compared with 2017.

“On June 11, 2017, we opened a symbolic door to Europe and introduced a visa-free regime. It was important not only to get a visa-free regime but also to expand the opportunities for traveling at the competitive prices. Last year’s result is excellent as the passenger traffic at the Ukrainian airports grew by 25% compared with 2017. In 2018, the passenger traffic at the Ukrainian airports for the first time exceeded 20 million a year,” President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko posted on Facebook.

As noted, the share of low-cost airlines in the international traffic reached 30% last year.

“We are moving forward, we continue creating the conditions so that Ukrainians can travel more often,” the President stressed.
