Minimum wage in Ukraine to increase up to $152 – social policy minister

In 2019, the minimum wage in Ukraine will increase by 12% and will amount UAH 4,173 (about USD 152).

Ukrainian Social Policy Minister Andriy Reva said this at the final press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The Government continues holding a wage growth policy, in particular, due to the growth of minimum wage, which doubled in last year and increased by 16.3% and amounted to UAH 3,723 per month since January 2018. Next year, the minimum wage will increase by 12.1% and will amount to UAH 4,173," he said.

In addition, the minister said that in January-October 2018, the nominal wage in the country increased by 25.6% and amounted to UAH 8,666, while the real wage increased by 13%.

At the same time, Reva assured that the Government would continue the policy of raising wage rates, in particular, to public sector employees.
