Almost UAH 31 bln to be allocated for regional development – Zubko

In 2019, the state support for regional development will amount to UAH 30.8 billion.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko commented on the state budget for 2019, the press service of the Regional Development Ministry reported.

In particular, Zubko said that in 2019 the state financial support for the implementation of investment programs and regional development projects would amount to UAH 30.8 billion.

According to the vice prime minister, UAH 0.5 billion will be allocated to the regions within the EU program to support the sectoral policy of Ukraine; UAH 7.7 billion – the State Regional Development Fund; UAH 2.1 billion – subvention for the formation of infrastructure of the united territorial communities; UAH 1.0 billion – subvention for the implementation of measures aimed at the development of the health care system in rural areas.

As reported, on November 23, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on Ukraine's state budget for 2019. On December 7, President Petro Poroshenko signed the law on Ukraine's state budget for 2019.

The document stipulates that GDP growth will amount to 3% in 2019, with inflation projected at 7.4%. The minimum wage will increase to UAH 4,172 from January 1, 2019, and the living wage will grow to UAH 1,936 from July 1, 2019 and to UAH 2,027 from December 1, 2019.
