The average salary in Ukraine in October rose to UAH 9,218, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wrote on his Facebook page.

“The average salary in Ukraine in October 2018 grew to UAH 9,218. This is 24.9% more than in October 2017,” Groysman noted.

He added that the Ukrainian economy has been steadily growing for 11 quarters in a row. "This means that more jobs have been created, competition arises between employers. As a result, there is a need for professionals whom competitive salaries will be paid,” Groysman wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers projected that the average salary, as one of the guidelines for the economic development of Ukraine, would reach UAH 10,000.
