Groysman: Ukraine, Moldova plan to bring mutual trade to $1 bln at year-end

Ukraine and Moldova have discussed the implementation of new infrastructure initiatives and plans on bringing the mutual trade turnover to $1 billion by the end of the current year.

This issue was discussed during a meeting of the heads of government of Ukraine and Moldova, Volodymyr Groysman and Pavel Filip, according to the Government portal.

“I want to note the positive trends in our mutual trade. According to the results of the first half of the year, we have the growth of 40% - to about $500 million. We can reach $1 billion at year-end,” said Groysman.

The prime ministers met in Kyiv on Saturday, November 24. Pavel Filip took part in the commemorative events to honor the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

Groysman thanked Pavel Filip for his high attention to the history of Ukraine, especially its tragic years. According to him, such steps contribute to mutual understanding, mutual respect and ensure openness and constructive relations between countries.
