Speaker Parubiy invites U.S. investors to take part in joint management of Ukrainian GTS
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy has invited American investors to co-manage the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
He said this during a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry on November 12, the press service of the Ukrainian Parliament reported.
The parties discussed cooperation in nuclear energy and supplying of liquefied gas to Ukraine.
"Andriy Parubiy invited American investors to partake in joint management of the Ukrainian gas transportation system," the statement reads.
In turn, Rick Perry noted he welcomed the US-Ukraine cooperation in energy security and underlined that the United States remained a consistent and reliable partner of Ukraine.
As reported, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry at a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that the United States planed to discuss with Ukraine three key issues in the energy sector.
