Ukraine exports goods and services to the tune of $31 bln in eight months

In January-August 2018, Ukraine exported goods and services to the tune of $31 billion.

"We have started to export more. The export of Ukrainian goods has been growing for 20 consecutive months. For the first eight months of this year, Ukrainian businessmen exported goods and services to the tune of $31 billion," First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said at the Government’s meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As reported, Ukraine’s exports increased by 12.4% in January-August 2018 compared to January-August 2017. The top exports from Ukraine are the agricultural and food products (36.8%), metallurgical complex products (26.4%), machinery products (11.7%), and mineral products (9.2%).

In January-August 2018, Ukraine increased its exports to the countries of America (by 30.4%), Europe (18.6%), Asia (10.0%), the CIS (4.4%), Africa (2.9%). The EU remains the largest trading partner of Ukraine. For the first eight months of current year, the share of the EU countries in exports of goods from Ukraine totaled 42.1%.
