Ukraine waiting for introduction of sanctions against Russian Black Sea ports

The Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry is waiting for the introduction of sanctions against Russian Black Sea ports.

Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan told this to journalists as part of the visit of a delegation of 12 American companies to Ukraine, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The latest statements by the U.S. Department of State, the European Parliament and the European Commission are not accidental. This is the result of the work of the Ukrainian authorities, giving true information to our partners in the anti-Russian coalition. I sincerely hope that the next stage of the reaction will be the introduction of sanctions against Russian Black Sea ports," Omelyan said.

He said that this is an absolutely adequate measure that will force the Russian authorities to think twice about the cost of occupation and military action.

As was reported earlier, Ukrainian ports sustained losses exceeding a billion hryvnias due to Russia's actions in the Sea of Azov. Taxpayers from Europe also lost a significant amount of money.
