Matteo Patrone appointed new EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus

Matteo Patrone has been appointed EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. Based in Kyiv, he will be responsible for the Bank’s operations and engagement in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

“Today the EBRD announced that Matteo Patrone (currently director for Romania and Bulgaria) would be promoted to Managing Director and come to Kyiv to take over my job. I will be leaving Ukraine, but Ukraine won’t be leaving me - you guys have a new friend in London!” former EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, Francis Malige posted on Facebook.

Malige added he would introduce Patrone in the coming weeks.

In July, the EBRD has appointed Francis Malige as the Managing Director for Financial Institutions.

Patrone will take on his new role from 1 November 2018.
