Ukraine’s Pivdenne Design Office, Polish Space Agency discuss prospects of building satellites. Photos

The delegation of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) and senior management of the Pivdenne (Yuzhnoye) State Design Office discussed potential ways of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the development of rocket and space technology.

The Polish delegation visited the Pivdenne Design Office on October 11, the press service of the Office reports.

“There is powerful space cooperation in Poland. Perhaps, we could establish cooperation in building satellites and satellite platforms,” said Oleksandr Kushnarev, the First Deputy General Designer - Director General for System Design of the Pivdenne Design Office.

Earlier, the Polish experts visited the ХI International Aviation and Space Salon "Aviasvit - XXI" exhibition event and the XV International Specialized Exhibition “Arms and Security 2018”, where President of the Polish Space Agency Grzegorz Brona and Director General of the Pivdenne Design Office Oleksandr Dehtiarev discussed the possible areas of cooperation.

The delegation got acquainted with the space and defense technologies of the Pivdenne Design Office, paying special attention to Cyclone-1M and Cyclone-4M carrier rockets, satellites and satellite platforms.

The POLSA delegation presented the possibilities of their agency and industrial cooperation in the field of engine systems, modern technologies and materials. The Polish colleagues expressed the opinion that Ukraine and Poland could yield significant results and financial savings by combining the capabilities of the two countries in the field of rocket engineering.
