The changes in Turkey, which have occurred over the past 20 years, contribute to strengthening cooperation with Ukraine, particularly in trade and economic area.

President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadiy Chyzhykov said this in a commentary to Ukrinform upon his visit to Turkey as part of the Ukrainian delegation led by First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv.

"Turkey has changed greatly over the past 20 years, which also contributes to strengthening cooperation. It is a country that follows the path of industrialization with the latest technologies and innovations. We feel that the Turkish side is very interested in cooperation with Ukrainian business," Chyzhykov said.

He also praised the active development of cooperation at various levels.

"We have very good institutional contacts with Turkey. We have two chambers of commerce and industry, representative office of Turkish business in Ukraine, the intergovernmental commission which work very well. 600 Turkish companies operate in Ukraine, and 500 Ukrainian companies work in Turkey. The visit of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine [to Turkey] is also an important sign," the President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry stressed.
