UAH 60 bln to be invested in development of Ukrainian gas transportation system

It is planned to invest UAH 60 billion (about USD 2.13 billion) in the development of Ukrainian gas transportation system in 2018-2027.

This is stipulated in the gas transportation system development plan for 2018-2027, which was approved by the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities of Ukraine on September 4, the press service of JSC Ukrtransgaz reports.

"JSC Ukrtransgaz received the approved plan of the gas transportation system development to the tune of UAH 60 billion for the period of 2018-2027. When elaborating it, the Ukrtransgaz experts were guided with the need for ensuring reliable and sustainable functioning of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, bringing the indicators of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency in compliance with modern standards, increasing its financial efficiency for mutually beneficial cooperation with domestic and foreign clients," the statement reads.

In particular, the plan provides for the allocation of UAH 6 billion in investments for 2018. Another UAH 19.5 billion is planned to be invested in 2019-2020, while UAH 34.5 billion more - during 2021-2027.
