Klimkin: Norway has allocated over EUR 160 mln to Ukraine since 2014

Since the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014, Norway has increased assistance to Ukraine seven-fold.

"Norway is a unique country. In 2014, when Russian aggression started, Norway increased its aid to Ukraine not by 20%. Norway did not double its aid and even did not thrice. It increased its assistance to Ukraine seven-fold. We have already received more than EUR 160 million from Norway," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said at the joint press conference with Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

At the same time, he said, there are many projects for further bilateral cooperation in various fields, namely the reforms in judicial system and healthcare sector. In addition, launch of "special cooperation" in field of nuclear safety is being discussed.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide is on a working visit to Ukraine on September 4-6.
