Ukraine already exported almost 6 mln tonnes of grains in 2018/2019 MY

Ukraine has exported almost 6 million tonnes of grain crops in the current marketing year, which started on July 1, 2018, the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Rights Protection reports.

“In particular, almost 3.2 million tonnes of wheat (including over 1.9 million tonnes of milling wheat and over 1.3 million tonnes of feed wheat), about 1.4 million tonnes of barley, and 1.2 million tonnes of corn have been exported,” reads the report.

A total of 6.6 million tonnes of grains were exported over the same period last marketing year. In particular, 3.5 million tonnes of wheat (including about 1.7 million tonnes of milling wheat and over 1.8 million tonnes of feed wheat), 1.8 million tonnes of barley, and 1 million tonnes of corn were exported.

In the current marketing year, 1.08 million tonnes of oilseeds were exported, including 1.03 million tonnes of rapeseed, over 0.05 million tonnes of soybeans, while in the same period last year, the export of oilseeds totaled almost 0.8 million tonnes (0.7 million tonnes of rapeseed and almost 1 million tonnes of soybeans).

As Ukrinform reported, during the previous marketing year from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, Ukraine exported 39,375 tonnes of grain crops to foreign markets: 17,139 tonnes of wheat; 4,289 tonnes of barley; 36,800 tonnes of rye, and 17,739 tonnes of corn.
