Agreement with EU on EUR 1 bln in aid to Ukraine to be signed in near future
Ukraine and the EU have made progress in agreeing terms for providing our country with macro-financial assistance worth EUR 1 billion.
The relevant agreement will be signed in the near future, Ukraine’s representative to the EU, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Mykola Tochytsky said at a press meeting within the framework of the 13th plenary meeting of heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"There is a progress, and there are conditions. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose this information until the agreement is signed. It will be signed in the near future," he said.
At the same time, the diplomat did not outline a time frame for signing the agreement.
As Ukrinform reported, on June 13, 2018, the European Parliament supported by an overwhelming majority the provision of the fourth macro-financial assistance program worth EUR 1 billion to Ukraine.
