Ukraine exports more than 5 mln tonnes of grain since July 1

Ukraine has exported more than 5 million tonnes of grain crops since July 1, 2018.

This was reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

"Since the beginning of the current marketing year, which began on July 1, 2018, Ukraine has exported more than 5 million tonnes of grain crops, in particular, 2.6 million tonnes of wheat (including wheat for food - almost 1.6 million tonnes, wheat for animal feed - more than 1 million tonnes), 1.2 million tonnes of barley, and 1 million tonnes of corn," reads the report.

The department noted that over the same period of the previous marketing year Ukraine exported over 5.7 million tonnes of grain, in particular, almost 3 million tonnes of wheat, almost 1.7 million tonnes of barley, and more than 1 million tonnes of corn.

Since July 1, Ukraine has already exported more than 910,000 tonnes of oil-bearing crops. As of the same date last year, exports amounted to 581,000 tonnes.
