Omelian signs new contract with Head of Ukrposhta Ihor Smiliansky

Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian signed a new contract with Head of the Ukrainian national postal operator Ukrposhta, Ihor Smiliansky.

The signing ceremony took place at the briefing at the Infrastructure Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I have the opportunity to sign a contract with Head of Ukrposhta Ihor Smiliansky," Omelian said before signing the document.

Ihor Smiliansky, in turn, said that the terms of the contract will be announced later, but everything will be within the government decision.

As reported, Ihor Smiliansky was appointed as head of Ukrposhta on April 20, 2016. Later, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed him as head of the Board of Ukrposhta. When reorganizing the company into PJSC, Smiliansky was transferred to the post of acting director general.

Later, the government decided to appoint Smiliansky as director general of the national postal operator.

On June 30, 2018, the contract of Smiliansky expired

On July 4, 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers supported a proposal submitted by Infrastructure Ministry to appoint Smiliansky as director general of PJSC Ukrposhta
