Canada to provide Ukraine with $50 million annually during 5 years – ambassador

The Government of Canada has decided to grant Ukraine $50 million annually during the next five years.

"A new aid package for Ukraine in the amount of about 50 million has been recorded. It will be granted annually over the next 5 years (35 million - technical assistance, 5 million - humanitarian aid, 10-12 million - operations in the security sector). This aid does not take into account the large-scale military mission UNIFIER, which is funded from the budget of the Canadian Defense Ministry," Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko stated, 112 TV Channel reported.

According to him, it is important for Ukraine that this is the first large-scale package adopted by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Government.

As reported, Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan said that Canada Canada unwaveringly supported Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
