Poll: Almost half of respondents believe that Ukraine has become more energetically independent of Russia

45 percent of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine has become more energetically independent of Russia over the past four years. Meanwhile, 18 percent are of an opposite opinion.

This is stated in the "Assessment of certain aspects of Ukrainian energy sector. July 2018"published by the Rating sociological group, Ukrinform reports.

According to the poll results, 45% of respondents believe that Ukraine has become more energetically independent of Russia over the past 4 years, 18% of respondents are of an opposite opinion, another quarter believes that nothing has changed, 13% are undecided. At the same time, one third of those, who view Ukraine as fully energy dependent country, said that Ukraine had strengthened its independence of Russia in the energy sector.

Almost a quarter of respondents believe that Ukraine has become more energetically independent of foreign countries over the past 4 years, 30% are of an opposite opinion, one third of respondents believe that the situation has not changed during this time, 13% are undecided.

The poll was conducted on July 6-14, 2018 among 1,200 respondents.
