Govnt increases authorized capital of Energy Efficiency Fund up to UAH 1.6 bln – Zubko

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the amount of an authorized capital of the Energy Efficiency Fund up to UAH 1.6 billion.

The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"We provided a financial basis for the work of the Energy Efficiency Fund, increasing its authorized capital to UAH 1.6 billion. These funds were included in the state budget for 2018. This will allow launch the full-fledged work of the Fund, as well as implement its energy efficiency programs in the housing sector," Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko commented on the decision.

At the same time, he recalled that in addition to the budget means, the Fund's programs would be co-financed by international partners.

As reported, the Energy Efficiency Fund of Ukraine was officially registered as a state agency on July 24.
