No one in Ukraine will be seriously affected by Russian sanctions - Justice Ministry

No one in Ukraine will be seriously affected by sanctions that Russia plans to introduce against Ukraine.

Ukrainian Deputy Justice Minister Natalia Bernatska told this to journalists on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Russia seems to have decided to make a reciprocal step, because they have been under sanctions for many years. In principle, I think that no one will be particularly affected because of it, since no politicians in Ukraine are willing to go to Russia or have any connections with this country," Bernatska said.

In her opinion, these Russian sanctions will not apply to ordinary citizens, "they will most likely apply to politicians who are actively communicating against the Russian Federation."

Earlier, Russian media, citing sources, reported that Russia was preparing sanctions against Ukraine. According to sources, the list of sanctions is to include "several hundred individuals and about a hundred lawyers."
