Almost UAH 1.8 bln in customs revenues to be additionally spent on road reconstruction - Fiscal Service

Almost UAH 1.8 billion of additional revenues from customs payments will be directed to the reconstruction and improvement of roads, the press service of the State Fiscal Service reports.

"In January-June 2018, additional revenues from customs payments, which under the experiment should be spent on road reconstruction, made up UAH 1 billion 785 million," reads the report.

The experiment on financial support for the reconstruction and repairs of roads has been carried out in Ukraine from September 2015. It envisages that a total of 50% of the funds received from over-fulfilment of the plan for regional customs receipts are used for the repair of roads. The pilot project has been implemented in Odesa, Volyn and Chernivtsi regions.
