U.S. worsens forecast for wheat harvest in Ukraine

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in July lowered the forecast for wheat, maize and rye production in Ukraine in the 2018/2019 marketing year.

The forecast was made in the July report of the department, according to AgroPortal.ua.

Wheat production in Ukraine in the current season is projected at 25.5 million tonnes, which is a million tonnes less than predicted last month and 1.5 million tonnes less than last year.

At the same time, the drop in wheat exports in the 2018/2019 marketing year is estimated at 0.5 million tonnes.
