Infrastructure investments worth USD 10 bln to accelerate GDP growth up to 20% per year

The annual investments in infrastructure development in the amount of USD 10 billion will ensure a GDP growth of USD 25 billion a year.

Ukraine’s First Deputy Infrastructure Minister (2014-2015) Volodymyr Shulmeister said this during a round table devoted to the topical problems of business protection in Ukraine, held at Ukrinform.

"The infrastructure investments worth USD 10 billion a year will give the GDP growth of USD 25 billion a year," Schulmeister said.

The expert noted that the GDP level in Ukraine can increase by 20%, not only by 1.5% or 2%, through the development of infrastructure.

As previously reported, more than UAH 86 billion should be allocated for the development of infrastructure in Ukraine in 2018.
