Ukrposhta adds 547 vehicles to its fleet

The national postal services operator Ukrposhta, during the work of the current management team, bought and added 547 vehicles, which makes up a sixth part of the company’s fleet.

The company’s press service told this to Ukrinform.

"In 2017-2018, Ukrposhta concluded contracts for the purchase of 547 vehicles of various load carrying capacity, while the average age of postal trucks decreased from 14 to 9 years," reads the report.

It is noted that the park has been modernized primarily for long haul traffic, which determines the reliability and speed of postal delivery throughout the country. "The long-haul fleet, which was dominated by MAZ vehicles with a lifetime of 15-20 years and a mileage of over 2 million kilometers, was updated by modern 20-tonne Iveco Stralis and Scania road trains," reads the report.
