Ukraine increased gas consumption by 7% in Q1 of 2018

In the first quarter of 2018, Ukraine consumed 13.57 billion cubic meters of gas, which was 7% more compared to the corresponding period of 2017.

This was reported by the press service of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities of Ukraine.

According to the report, in the first quarter of 2018, the volume of gross natural gas consumption amounted to about 13.57 billion cubic meters of gas, while in the first quarter of 2017 it was 12.73 billion cubic meters.

Population increased gas consumption by 3% compared to the first quarter of 2017, and the volume of gas consumption amounted to 5.7 billion cubic meters.

A significant increase in the volume of natural gas consumption happened due to sudden frosts in early March of this year.
