Omelyan promises to link Gdansk and Odesa with freeway

Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan promises to build a Ukrainian section of the highway, which will make it possible to link Gdansk and Odesa with a freeway.

Polish Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Adamczyk announced this during a visit to the town of Jaroslaw in south-eastern Poland, rmf24.pl reports.

"Minister Omelyan told me during the meeting [on Friday, June 22] that the Ukrainian side got ready and would soon start to implement a large-scale road project to connect Lviv and Odesa with a branch to Kyiv. It will be a freeway. We hope that the project will provide an opportunity for linking Odesa with the ports of Trojmiasto [Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot]," Adamczyk said.
