Ukraine’s GDP grew by 3.1% in first quarter of 2018 – Groysman

The GDP of Ukraine increased by 3.1% in the first quarter of 2018.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Last year we managed to achieve 2.5% of economic growth. In the first quarter of this year, Ukraine's GDP grew by 3.1%. Now we set a goal at the level of 5% or more," Groysman said.

He assures that the Government converts all of this into the well-being of citizens.

"The incomes of citizens must run ahead of inflation," the prime minister stressed.

The participants of the meeting of the parliamentary committee are considering a report on the progress and results of the implementation of the program of activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2017.
