Zubko: Local budget revenues grew by almost a quarter in January-May 2018

In January-May 2018, Ukraine’s local budget revenues increased to UAH 89.7 billion, which is 24.1% more compared to the corresponding period last year.

Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko posted this on his Facebook page.

“In January-May 2018, local budget revenues increased to UAH 89.7 billion. The growth in revenues against the corresponding period last year amounted to 24.1% or UAH 17.39 billion,” reads the report.

The growth of local budgets was observed in all regions of Ukraine: from UAH 180 million in Chernivtsi region to UAH 1.9 billion in Dnipropetrovsk region. The budget of the city of Kyiv grew by UAH 2.8 billion.

According to Zubko, the highest growth rates of revenues, against the corresponding period last year, were recorded in Poltava (+30.4%), Donetsk (+28.0%), Sumy(+27.9%) and Ternopil (+27. 0%) regions.

As earlier reported, Ukraine’s local budget revenues in 2017made up UAH 192 billion.
