Interregional energy efficiency centers to be created in Ukraine

At least five interregional energy efficiency centers are planned to be created in Ukraine to provide consultative services in the field of energy efficient technologies.

MP and Acting Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"There is a need for permanent exhibition centers with demonstration capacities. Five powerful interregional energy efficiency centers are planned to be opened in Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv and in a city in southern Ukraine," he said.

Dombrovskyi noted that Ukraine has made a big step forward in improving energy efficiency over the past three years, but “this is only the first step.” The MP also stressed that at present Ukraine has significant advantages for the introduction of energy efficient technologies.
