Ukrainian airlines see a 18% rise in passenger transportation – State Aviation Service

In January-May 2018, the number of passengers carried by Ukrainian airlines rose by 18.1% compared to the corresponding period in 2017, according to the State Aviation Service of Ukraine.

“In January-May 2018, the number of passenger-carrying operations of Ukrainian airlines increased by 18.1% compared to the same period last year and totaled 4,100 thousand people. The volume of international passenger-carrying operations grew by 18% and totaled 3,689.2 people,” reads the report.

The passenger traffic flow through Ukrainian airports grew by 26.1% and totaled 6,932.2 thousand people, and the number of passengers serviced on international flights grew by 27.1% and totaled 6,101.6 thousand people.

In January-May 2018, Ukrainian airlines operated 35.9 thousand commercial flights, which is 7.3% more compared to the same period in 2017. The number of international flights totaled 29.7 thousand (grew by 5.7%).
