Regular flights from Kharkiv to Georgia launched

On Tuesday, June 12, Georgian Myway Airlines launches its first regular flight from Kharkiv to Tbilisi and Batumi after a four-year suspension.

This was announced by airline’s General Director Grigory Pomerantsev at a briefing at the Kharkiv airport, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have restored this historic flight as planes flew from Georgia to Kharkiv for 40 consecutive years until 2014. And only in 2014, for objective reasons, the flights were temporarily suspended," Pomerantsev said.

According to him, the Myway Airlines is interested in attracting tourists from Kharkiv to Georgia. Its shareholder, the Chinese company Hualing Group, intends to expand the Myway Airlines routes not only to Ukraine, in particular to Kyiv, but to other world countries as well.
