Ukraine imposes sanctions on 1,748 individuals and 756 legal entities

The updated lists of personal special economic and other sanctions of Ukraine include 1,748 individuals and 756 legal entities.

The relevant presidential decree No. 126/2018 of May 14 with the annexes has been published on the website of the Head of State.

According to the document, the sanctions are imposed on 1,748 individuals and 756 legal entities. Last year, 1,228 individuals and 468 legal entities were under personal sanctions.

In particular, the restrictive measures have been imposed on the Ukrainian office of the RIA Novosti Russian news website. The access to rian.com.ua was blocked. The companies of the WebMoney online payment settlement system have been also put on the Ukraine’s updated sanction list. In addition, the sanctions have been imposed on Russian oligarchs and officials in Putin’s entourage: Oleg Deripaska, Viktor Vekselberg, Igor Rotenberg Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, Federal National Guard Service Director and National Guard Forces Director Viktor Zolotov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev and others.

As reported, on May 2, 2018, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine adopted a decision on the imposition and cancellation of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).
