Ukraine increases natural gas stocks by almost 20% - Ukrtransgaz

As of May 19, there were 8.9 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities, which is 20% more from the start of pumping natural gas into storage facilities.

PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system, reported this.

According to the data provided by Ukrtransgaz, natural gas stocks made up 7.435 as of the end of the heating season, April 8. As of May 19, natural gas stocks were replenished by 1.468 bcm, Ukrtransgaz added.

As reported, Ukraine on May 15 marked 900 days since it stopped importing natural gas under the contract with the Russian Federation. All consumed natural gas comes from Ukraine’s own production or is imported from the European direction.
