Ukraine to present updated plan of reforms at conference in Copenhagen

Ukraine is going to present an updated plan of reforms at the second Ukraine Reform Conference, which will be held in Copenhagen on June 27.

Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said this at the meeting with Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Margot Wallström in Stockholm, the Government portal reports.

"Ukraine plans to present a completely updated reform plan at the 2nd Ukraine Reform Conference to be held in Copenhagen on June 27, 2018. We look forward to Sweden's participation in this high-level event, and we also expect to discuss new EU’s financial instruments of support for the long-term European Plan for Ukraine during the forthcoming conference," Klympush-Tsintsadze said.

Wallstrom, in turn, thanked for the invitation to the conference and expressed solidarity with Ukraine.

"We support the path of reforms that Ukraine is currently pursuing. Sweden will continue working with the EU in the interests of Ukraine," the Swedish Foreign Minister promised.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral dialogue between Ukraine and Sweden: implementation of the Minsk agreements, strengthening of sanctions against Russia, cooperation with the EU, bilateral dialogue and deepening cooperation in the defense sector, trade and economic cooperation, gender issues, energy and cyber security, and so on.
