Ukraine repays almost $81 million to IMF

May 1, 2018, Ukraine transferred $80.7 million of regular payments to the International Monetary Fund.

"On May 1, Ukraine transferred to the IMF $80.7 million of regular payments," the press service of the NBU reported.

In early February of 2018, Ukraine repaid the IMF a regular payment worth $375 million as part of the stand-by 2014 program.

According to the NBU, this year the National Bank and the Government have to pay about $7.4 billion in state debt, including under commitments to the IMF.

Ukraine’s total debt to the International Monetary Fund at the current moment is $12.1 billion.

As Ukrinform reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that Ukraine should repay $27 billion of debt in the next four years.
