Ukrainian government simultaneously implements three reforms in energy sector

The Government of Ukraine is implementing the reforms in the gas sector, the electricity market and the coal industry.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion said this during the round table "Chinese investments in the development of energy in Ukraine", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"One of the main priorities is to ensure energy security. At least three reforms are being implemented in the energy sector now: in the gas sector, the electricity market and the coal industry," Kistion said.

He recalled that the energy strategy until 2035 provided for halving energy intensity in the Ukrainian economy.

"The government introduced a single price for gas, which made it possible to find a resource for the development of Ukrainian gas production," the Vice Prime Minister noted.
