Cabinet of Ministers: Ukraine’s construction code brought in line with EU standards

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted the decisions aimed at bringing the national construction code in line with the standards of the European Union.

This was announced by Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko, the Ministry’s press service reports.

According to him, the adopted changes will enable building modern facilities and using modern construction materials.

"Our solutions are also aimed at deregulating the construction business and eliminating corruption risks. In particular, the possibility of simultaneous operation of the national construction code, developed according to national standards, and those that are harmonized with the EU norms, is provided for all the construction projects, regardless of the class of consequences. We bring the Ukrainian construction legislation and rationing arrangements in line with the European requirements. In addition, the procedure for the elaboration of the national construction code is simplified," Zubko said.
