Naftogaz, Gazprom to hold another round of talks on revision of gas transit tariffs in April

Russia's Gazprom will announce its position on revision of tariffs for gas transportation by the Ukrainian gas transmission system and the possibility for transit preservation after 2019 during the next talks with NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in April.

Spokesperson of Naftogaz Ukrainy Olena Osmolovska said this to reporters.

"The parties agreed to have another round of negotiations in April where Gazprom is also expected to comment on Naftogaz’ tariff revision request and the use of Ukrainian gas transmission system for transit of gas from Russia to the EU beyond the expiration of the current contract in 2019," the press service of Naftogaz Ukrainy reported.

As reported, NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy and Russian Gazprom met last week to discuss the next steps after the decisions of the Stockholm Arbitration on two large cases. At the meeting, Gazprom said that the Russian gas monopoly refused to resume gas supplies to Ukraine and refused to confirm that it would pay $2.6 billion.
