About UAH 300 bln to be spend on roads within next 5 years - Ukravtodor

About UAH 300 billion is planned to be spent on the construction and repairs of public roads of state importance within the next five years.

Head of the State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) Slawomir Nowak stated this at a government meeting on March 21, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"According to the Finance Ministry, funds to the Road Fund will be transferred in the following amounts: UAH 33.4 billion plus separate budget financing - this year, UAH 51 billion - in 2019, about UAH 70 billion - in 2020, 2021 and 2022. About UAH 300 billion from all sources are planned to be spent on roads of state importance within the next five years," Nowak said.

He noted that the distribution of funds will be the following: 60% of the funds of the Road Fund will be used for public roads of state importance, and 35% - for the roads of local importance.
