Ukrainian exports to Poland grew by 27% last year - polish minister

In 2017, Ukrainian exports to Poland grew faster (27%) than Polish exports to Ukraine (24%).

Poland’s Minister of Investment and Development Jerzy Kwieciński said this during the Europe-Ukraine Forum in Rzeszow, Poland, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are very pleased with the fact that Polish-Ukrainian economic cooperation has improved not at the governmental level but at the business level. Last year, the export of Polish products to Ukraine grew by 24% - up to EUR 4.3 billion, and the import from Ukraine increased by 27% - now it amounts to EUR 2.1 billion," Kwieciński said.

He noted that the export growth was a "good aspect" of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland.

The minister said that the Polish investments in the Ukrainian economy remained insufficient due to the security situation. At the same time, he acknowledged that the Ukrainian investments in the Polish economy increased last year.
