Ukrtransgaz: 9.23 bcm of natural gas remained in underground gas storage facilities

As of March 7, 9.23 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas remained in Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities, which is 12% more compared with the same date in 2017.

PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system, posted this on Facebook.

"There are enough natural gas reserves in underground storage facilities to comfortably complete the heating season 2017-2018. As of today, gas volumes in underground storage facilities make up 9.23 bcm, which is 1 billion or 12% more compared with the same date last year," reads the report.

In addition, Ukrtransgaz informed about the decrease in daily gas consumption.

"Due to significant warming, daily gas consumption in Ukraine is decreasing. Yesterday, the Crisis Committee at the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine announced the end of the [gas] crisis," the company said.
