Naftogaz holding talks with EBRD on new loan - Vitrenko

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is holding talks with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the possibility of obtaining a new credit line.

Naftogaz Chief Commercial Director Yuriy Vitrenko said this at a press briefing on March 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Naftogaz has no problems with resources. We have opened a credit line from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The line from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has already been used and we are negotiating on a new line," Vitrenko said.

According to him, Naftogaz can enter the international financial market and issue Eurobonds.

"Everyone understands the power and stability of Naftogaz after a victory at Stockholm arbitration court," Vitrenko added.

As earlier reported, Naftogaz has the renewable credit line of $500 million secured by the World Bank.
